John Farrell is being interviewed.
He owned a restaurant during The Great Depression
There is no age indicated throughout the interview.
He is a male and no race is said either.
Augusta, Georgia
March 20,1940
it says it was Research by: Mrs. Daisy Thompson but it doesn't really say who did the interview.
In the interview Mr. Farrell did most of the talking really the person who was interviewing him didn't really say too much. John talks about how he had owned a restaurant before the depression started and business was great and he made tons of money. Then he goes on to talk about as the Depression started his income started to decrease at first it was slow but then it got much faster. Soon enough John was forced to close down his restaurant. When the interviewer asked John Farrell’s opinion on the Great Depression he said that he believed it was their own fault not the governments. In the end John Farrell was able to reopen his restaurant and things went back to being just dandy for him.

In my opinion The Depression didn’t really seem to effect John Farrell because he had done so well before the depression had started it seemed like that helped him a lot. He had also said something that if people had bigger families and married younger then the Depression wouldn't of has happened? Which made absolutely no since to me I think that would only have hurt them. Having a bigger family would mean that you needed more money to feed all those babies...so how would this help?
